Body fat monitors and weight scaleThe body fat weight scale differs dramatically from the regular bathroom weight scale - here’s how: Imagine yourself on a weight loss diet; couple of months down the line your body structure has undergone a dramatic change so you weigh yourself on a regular bathroom weighting scale but find no change in your body weight.

Your body weight mystery decoded

If your body had a ‘fine print’, the mystery would have been solved! The omron body fat analyzer (might) probably have indicated that you lost 8Lbs in fat, 2Lbs in water and gained 10 Lbs in muscle. Now considering your new look, doesn’t this make more sense?

You work hard every day on your diet and your workouts and we know it isn’t easy. Rather than work in the blind with less than effective feedback from your regular weighing scale, a body fat percentage scale by giving you a more detailed and accurate pictures, provides a more effective feedback so you know you are on the right (or wrong) diet and exercise plan.

Prior to the body fat weight scale, the only way to obtain a real picture was by visiting lab or looking at yourself in a mirror and guessing your progress. The first is not very practical and the second not very accurate. For a hundred bucks or so you can buy yourself a nice body fat monitor and scale and use it whenever and wherever you like and more importantly, you can even download the data into a convenient USB storage device.

The body fat weight scale explained

The body fat weight scale uses a technique called BIA short for “Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis” – a technique that is very similar to measuring blood sugar. The BIA technique works by passing a tiny harmless electrical current through your body. As it passes through your body, there are certain areas where it meets with very little resistance and other areas where it meets with lots of resistance. The former is muscle and the latter is fat.

Based on the feedback received, a body density picture emerges. This is then used to calculate the body fat percentage.

Once you are on a diet and exercise plan, use the body fat analyzer roughly once a week and you will be amazed to see how your body responds (or doesn’t) depending on the effectiveness of the diet and exercise. Essentially, the body fat weight scale is more effective than your bathroom weight scale.

Effectiveness of the body fat weight scale

A poorly conceived weight loss program can actually do you harm because you could end up losing muscle rather than fat. It is therefore important you use the body fat percentage calculator before you begin any weight loss program. This enables you to compare the ‘before’ and ‘after’ picture. Should you lose muscle instead of fat, you know that something is wrong and will want to take corrective measures.

All this is possible only through information and the body fat weight scale does just that – it provides you with vital feedback on the quality of the weight loss program by measuring its effect on your body.

If you are on a weight loss or weight maintenance plan, invest in scale to measure body fat today – it will be one of the wisest decisions you’ve made.
