If you ask a professional Barista, clad in his awesomely stylish uniform and waist apron, they will tell you that there are many different types of coffees, made in a variety of ways, out there at the coffee shop. So, do you know all the different coffees that are available out there to give you that much-needed energy boost?
Affogato – It is essentially an Espresso poured over vanilla ice cream and served in a Cappuccino cup.
Americano – An Espresso with added hot water and served in a Cappuccino cup.
Caffè Latte – An Espresso with steamed milk and just a little bit of milk foam poured over it. Usually served in a Latte glass or coffee cup, with added flavored syrup.
Caffè Mocha – This is a Caffè Latte with chocolate and whipped cream. Pour chocolate sauce into a glass, then the Espresso shot and steamed milk.
Café Au Lait – A mix of dark roasted filter coffee and warm milk, served in a large coffee cup. Very much a French coffee.
Cappuccino – A mix of Espresso and milk foam served in a Cappuccino cup.
Cold Brew – Freshly ground coffee brewed in cold water, and is a cold beverage.
Doppio – A double Espresso served in a Cappuccino or Espresso cup.
Espresso – A small, strong beverage served in an Espresso cup.
Espresso Con Panna – A shot of Espresso topped up with whipped cream.
Espresso Macchiato – Espresso with a little bit of foam milk.
Flat White – A double Espresso served in a glass with lightly frosted milk.
Frappé – Rich iced Espresso, milk and ice, with added flavored syrup, mixed in a blender and served in a glass.
Iced Latte – A mix of Ice, cold milk and Espresso mixed with flavored syrup and served in a Latte glass.
Iced Mocha – A cold Caffè Mocha, served in a Latte glass.
Irish Coffee – Filter coffee mixed with Irish whiskey and topped with a thin layer of whipped cream.
Latte Macchiato – A Caffè Latte with a thick layer of foam, served in a Latte glass.
Lungo – A long espresso served in a Cappuccino or Espresso cup.
Ristretto – A short shot of Espresso served in an Espresso cup.
