Human Resources are considered as the backbone of any organization. They play an important role in the growth. Rather, I should put it is this way- it is the human resource that is solely responsible for the performance of the company. Although machineries, management, strategies etc help a company grow but who works on all of them, at the end, are human resources. It is very important for organizations to manage these human resources effectively in order to grow. Many small to mid-sized business organizations think that Human Resources Management (i.e. HRM) applies only to big sized organization. However, it is a matter of fact that HRM applies to each and every organization irrespective of their size. In fact, it is the effective HRM that helps small sized organizations turn BIG.

Through this article I would give you some important tips as to how to manage the HR effectively. Below are some key points-
Chalk out an effective strategy: Don’t just start hitting the floor from the day 1, if you are working as an HR professional either in a new set up or an established one. Chalk out effective strategies that would help the company grow for a longer run if it is a new set up. If it is an established one, then study about the company and the existing strategy and see how you can improve it.
Use Software for optimum efficiency: These days HR softwares are available in the market that increase efficiency, use them. One such software that is used worldwide is Sage 50 HR, learn it through a sage training course and work with optimal efficiency.
Recruit Carefully: Recruitment is a very critical task. Don’t just recruit people to finish your job before deadline, hire the deserving candidates so that they can help the company grow in future. If you miss your deadline by a day or two, it doesn’t matter mush till the time the recruited people possess sheer skills. This doesn’t mean that you can cross the deadlines. It would be the best if you could hire talented people well before the deadline, but never ever compromise with the talent.
Facilitate an open curtain environment: Nobody likes to work in a shady environment. Facilitate an open curtain environment which would give a sense of satisfaction to the employees and help you in talent retention. Don’t just confine yourself to the HR office walls, reach out to the employees, talk to them, ask them what they want, what are the problems they are facing, build relationship with them.
Allow them to learn new skills: The more your employees grow in terms of the skills the better it would be for your organization. Allow them to learn new skills, provide skill training to them. If it is not possible to train them in the working hours, then give them online training courses. Many companies have used it in a very productive way. A very reputed Accounting company gave its employees Sage accounts courses for free as a bonus. This later helped them work with much more efficiency and ultimately helped the company grow at a much faster pace.
