An exhaust fan performs the function of blowing the air out of the room. Mainly it is used in the kitchens for blowing out the heated air out of the room. Backdrafting can also be done with the exhaust fan; it sucks the air from the unwanted location which will reduce the difference created in room pressure.

The other system works to ventilate the house centrally. The exhaust motor is located at some place and when it works it takes the air from every room of the house with the help of suction duct located in every room.
