Do you use Facebook? If so—and if you also use Google Chrome—you are in luck. There are several Chrome extensions that you can install that will customize certain aspects of Facebook. These extensions will make your use of the social network supersite to be even more enjoyable.

Here are five of the best Google Chrome extensions that work to modify Facebook:

·         Facebook Photo Zoom:  This lightweight extension is quite simple in concept. It allows you to see larger images of any photo album, profile photo, or other photos. All you need to do is hover over an image and it will pop out on your screen into a larger version of the image.

·         SocialPlus:  Many new features are added to Facebook when you install this Chrome extension. These include keyboard navigation, videoChat, album slideshow, and an ‘I don’t like’ button. Your Facebook page can look different, too, because SocialPlus has a skin creator, color status emoticons, and an option to skin your profile.

·         Facebook for Google Chrome:  Install this extension and you will see a Facebook button added to your browser bar. Click on this button to read your Facebook wall and news feed. You can also post status updates when you click on the button.

·         MyFacebook:  This Chrome extension allows you to customize Facebook by changing your friends’ names and colors. All you have to do is right-click on a friend’s name and select ‘Edit.’

·          Alwittizer Facebook Enhancer:  There are many options to adjust the interface of Facebook with this extension. These include a fixed top menu bar, a fixed left filter list, bottom menu transparency, and a highlight for your friends’ birthdays. In addition, this extension can zoom profile pictures and photos.

Keep in mind that the more extensions you install on Google Chrome—and the larger the extensions—you may end up with a browser that moves more slowly. None of these extensions are known to cause lag, but it could happen if you have a large quantity of add-ons.
