The fountains are not only found in public gardens but also in homes. Since people , today want to create an unique environment where the running water is an object of beauty and an agent of calm. There are indoor and outdoor fountains which have a vast collection of battery operated, power operated and solar energy operated fountains.

Types of the Mosaic Fountains

There are different types of fountains available in the market. One of them is the mosaic fountain. The mosaic fountain is available in different patterns and designs. Few of the popular mosaic fountains are listed below.

1. Water wall mosiac fountain

This an elegant and artistic tabletop fountain. The fountain has inlaid stone mosaic. The stone used in this fountain is of exquiste grade stone that are selected by skilled cutters. The surface of this fountain is polished . These fountains are hand-made , hence each design varies slightly in appearance , color and shape. The fountain has a recirculating electric pump and the water sound is low. However , this fountian is purely an indoor fountain.

2. Solar Cascade Mosaic Fountain

This fountain can be installed in the patio, deck or back yard or garden. The solar energy is the source of power. The solar pump recirculates the water without electricity. It is a fountain that is made with an all-weather metal frame and natural terra cotta bowls with hand-inlaid mosaic tiles.

Tips To Make A Mosaic Fountain

Take a plain old basin and clean it with light sand paper so the adhesives will bond well. First, draw the designs with pencil and then with waterproof marker. Cut the colorful glass tile into small pieces. Use any good adhesive like latex and stick it on the basin allow it set overnight. Fill the gaps with latex additive. Once the grout is dry, clean the basin with damp sponge. Now all that is needed is to attach the pump and fountain fittings to the basin.
