A single toothbrush can be the refuge of million of microorganisms, which transform to harmful bacteria like E Coli, Pseudomonas aerugenosa and Staphylococcus aureus to name a few. These bacteria prosper in the moist and warm ambience of an average bathroom. These microscopic bugs can cause flu, cols and various other illnesses. The usual rinsing procedure cannot destroy all these organisms and the potent pathogenic ones remain in the bristles. This is the reason, a toothbrush sanitizer is needed. Some sanitizers claim that they are needed, as they offer a very natural way of fighting the germs. They use only steam and dry heat to clean the toothbrushes. They can be used for all types of toothbrushes. The process takes only seconds to complete and nearly 99.999% germs are killed between the brushings.

Need of simple toothbrush sanitizer

Some sanitizers boast that they are needed, as they can sanitize the toothbrush upto 99.9% without the need of dangerous electric cords, hot water, steam, ozone, ionization, harmful chemicals, solvents, chlorine or bleaches. Further, the simplicity of their use increases their need. Users have to simply pour branded mouthwashes upto the “fill to here” line mark. Then, place the toothbrush in the chamber. Close the lid and slowly shake the unit. The mouthwash saturates the bristles. Place the unit in position till the next mouthwash. Two toothbrushes can be kept in one sanitization unit and this unit occupies very little space in the bathroom.

Need of quick toothbrush sanitizer

Some sanitizers use a germicidal Ultra-violet bulb to kill the germs. Sanitization is started with the push of a button. A violet glow indicates that the process is still on. The entire process requires ten minutes. It results in a fresh and clean toothbrush, from which 99.9% of the bacteria have been destroyed. These sanitizers can be used with manual as well as electric toothbrushes. These sanitizers are basically needed, as they offer a quick and highly efficient process. During travel, the importance of having a sanitized toothbrush increases tenfold. So, a sanitizer that is portable, petite in size and weighs less is needed. Such a sanitizer had been developed, which has an auto shut off time of seven minutes. It works on the principle on UV Light.
