Natural ways of getting rid of bugs are much better for the environment because it will not kill the bugs but keep them away and you do not have to spray chemicals around your home. If you have young children, the last thing you want them getting a hold of is a spray. They play on the floor and if you accidentally spray it on the floor or on their toys, they could easily come in contact with the fumes and chemicals.

You may have noticed that the kitchen is the place in the home where most bugs show up. This is because the food and crumbs are all located in the kitchen and bugs will find them. In the winter, you may notice that you will not have these pest problems as much but in the summer, there are many bugs to worry about and the kitchen is not the place that you want to use these harmful sprays. A lot of people keep their fruit or vegetables out and you do not want it to come in contact with your food.

Fruit flies are a major concern in the summer months and they multiply very fast. You may like to keep your fruit out on the counter, but this might not be the best idea. To avoid the problem of these types of bugs, try keeping all of your food in the fridge or make sure that it is sealed properly. If you already have this pest problem, try putting out a banana in a bag. The flies will begin to attract the fruit and then you can seal the bag and take the piece of fruit outside. This method might take a few tries, but you will eventually cut down on the number of flies that you have.

For rodents such as mice or bugs such as ants, there are natural ways to keep them out of your home. Mice like to get into food lying around such as pet food or crumbs that people leave behind every once in a while. They also hate pepper and will stay away from it. By sprinkling pepper in areas where you usually find mice, it will keep them away for good. Ants can also be very annoying creatures and they come in huge packs. To keep these bugs away, try placing peppermint leaves around your home.

There are certainly ways to ensure that pests and bugs do not get into your house in the first place. By vacuuming on a weekly basis, you can cut down on the number of crumbs you leave behind, especially in the kitchen. Also, check to make sure that doors and windows are sealed properly so that they cannot find ways into your home.
