In today’s world, where population is growing exponentially and the natural resources are decreasing, there is a great need of some innovative ways by which everything can be reused. Thus, recycling has become an extremely popular option for saving the diminishing natural resources. Be it paper, plastic or rubber, everything can be recycled and can take a new shape to become useful again. The demand for rubber recycling or rubber reclamation is rapidly growing in every country, because of the cost factor as producing natural rubber is very expensive. Due to the increasing population and rising needs, this demand is likely to go much higher in coming years.
The recycled rubber can be used in making various useful products, like mats, artificial grounds, weights, tires, automobile parts, military equipments, belts and beltings, sheeting etc. There are primarily two ways of producing reclaimed rubber, the cryogenic processing and ambient processing.
The most advanced and new way of processing or recycling rubber is known as Cryogenic processing. It is also the most economical and reasonable technology for processing steel belt tires. In this process pre cut chunks of rubber are conceded via a freezing element, where it is sprayed with melted nitrogen. The rubber is chilled from -60 and -100oC. The iced up rubber is fed to sledge hammer mill where it is crushed into minute pieces. Afterward steel and textile particles are alienated and the rubber is sent for de-vulcanization and repossession process that is like the ambient process.
Ambient processing is a more traditional way of recycling the rubber, because of the cost benefits involved. In this method the big rubber tires are broken down into small pieces and after that further reduced to minute particles to make them go through the mill. From the cracker mill all the stuff is sent to grinder mill which crushes the material. There are rotating blades in the mill, which crush the rubber into even smaller pieces. The final product that comes out of the grinder mill is known as crumb rubber. This crumb rubber has textile contagion in it. This textile can be separated from the rubber by using air aspirator.
Crumb rubber is further developed in autoclave gyratory, where it is assorted with the dispensation of oils and recycling equipments. The rubber is scorched at 160-180oC and elevated pressure (21kPa) for about 3 hours in the rotary. This rubber is known as cured rubber or de-vulcanized rubber. Later the liquid rubber is fed to an extruder, where the powder rubber is converted into solid rubber. The solid rubber then goes to a strainer where thin rubber sheets are created. These sheets are then put under the refining process. The final and completed product which comes out of the refining process is the recycled rubber, which is also known as the reclaimed rubber.
With both these kind of recycling processes, a lot of products which can be produced, like fiber and steel etc. and everything can be used effectively for serving various purposes. Swani Rubber Industries manufactures quality reclaim rubber and their quality reclaimed rubberis exceptional than other companies
