To choose the right wall color can be quite a problem at times. Normally the parents take this decision. But to actually make a teenager feel like a grown up, its imperative that one leaves the color scheme to the kid himself. It’s not the color that matters finally, what counts is the right given to the kid. This way even the child has the eagerness to spend time in the room that is allotted to him.

The wall colors that you choose should be pleasing in a way that the teenager should find solace in the room. A lot of times, it so happens that these kids who are in a two way state of mind, find them in a disturbed state. To make them feel a lot better, it is advisable that the color scheme is made up in a way that can help them in any state of mind. The children i.e. the teenagers choose the best colors for themselves. Normally, one can find deep interest to paint the walls with colors that contradict their personality. Hence, as the child chooses the wall color it is essential that a counselor guide him to make the right choice. The bright greens and the light blues can be soothing for one’s room. For adolescent girls, it’s the best if colors like pink and magenta find their way on the walls. Girls and boys in the age group of 13-18 normally have a very flicky tendency. It is advisable, that one chooses something that merges with his personality. Choose the light shades so as to cool ones mind even when one has a lot of thoughts and negations in mind. What generally happens is that, teenage brings about a lot of mixed feelings in ones mind. In order to give your child complete attention, one should make special efforts to meet his child’s need. To show the care, choose soothing shades such as the whites and the off shades. The décor can be designed accordingly to suit your child’s moods, behavior and likes by keeping in mind the dislikes.
