The problem of back pain should be taken care of before it becomes very chronic and unbearable. Prevention is better than cure should always be followed. The spine has three curves namely natural lordship with the spine arched backward, the thoracic spine with the spine slightly flexed forward and the lumbar spine has a natural lordship. Even if one among three curves get disrupted causes undue strain upon the other.

Reasons of the back pain:

If one sleeps or stands in the poor posture, it causes back pain. Lifting a heavy object whose burden body cannot bear and lifting it in a wrong way can cause a serious back pain. Exercising in wrong way or making wrong postures can cause a serious pain in the back. Goal of exercising is to strengthen you not to injure you. Care should be taken while exercising. Using improper mattresses and pillows also causes back pain especially when either of the things is very hard. Staying in the same position for longer hours like standing, sitting and sleeping in the same position for long period of time.

Measures to take care of back pain:

While lifting any object, remember that bend with knees and hips allowing them to take the strain of the spine. Try to hold the object close to the body. Consult the instructor before starting any new exercise and make it sure that proper form is being used which will strengthen the back. Exercise that focuses more on lower abs, obliques and quadratus. Often change the positions while sitting, standing and sleeping. Always sit straight without hunch. While standing keep straight aligning the centre of gravity over the feet. While standing keep the ears, shoulders, hips and ankles in the straight line. Wear comfortable shoes and wear high heel shoes as infrequently as possible. To be relieved and prevent the back pain-stretching can help to a great extend. Stretching helps to warm up the muscles as cold and unexercised muscles are more prone to injuries.
