Dollhouse is a thrill based TV show of America. It is based on the theme that how the negative things such as greed or problem presented in human being lead him towards demolition. It was first aired on February 13, 2009 and aired till November 11, 2009. In this short span it has completed its 27 episodes. This serial has been created by Joss Weldon and produced by Mutant Enemy Productions. This show is based on the activities of a company known as Dollhouse which runs underground offices and hires out human beings known as ‘Actives’ or ‘Dolls’. These actives of dollhouse are programmed with temporary memory according to the needs or requirements of clients ranging from romantic dates to high-risk criminal activities. Dollhouse introduces the characters like Adelle Dewitt, Topher Brink, Boyd Langton, and Paul Ballard. The protagonist of the show or we can say ‘Active’ is Echo and this role has been played by Eliza Dushku. She has been shown a very unique character in the show because of her ability to remember old things even after her memory is wiped out. The actives or dolls are hired by the company for a period of 5 years in exchange of vast amount of money or to face the hard conditions in their lives. The memory of all the actives or dolls are originally wiped out and stored on hard drives. These dolls after their memory is wiped out contain a blank brain as they cannot think of their own until something has been inserted in Adelle Dewitt is the main character of the show as he is the director of the house which accomplishes the task of allocating memory to dolls. This role has been played by Olivia Williams. Fran Kranz as Topher Brink in the sitcom is the mentor of Echo. He is initially scientific and immoral but somewhere shows the signs of moral quandary. Harry Lennox as Boyd Langton is an ex-cop which is generally concerned with ethical and theological condition of doll house technology. He has a mysterious past and believes in working for the betterment of humanity. Another interesting character is Paul Ballard (Tahmoh Penikett) who is a FBI agent. He is shown as a very strong character because when he came to know about reality of Echo, he became very anxious over the rumour. After that Paul even risks his job to prove the existence of the dollhouse. On the other hand, as Echo continues to discover her secret, the members planned to dump her in the storage loft, THE ATTIC. This company is patronised by a medical research lab known as Rossum Corporation, the aim of which is to gain control over the entire government and even over those people who have no link with dollhouse. The first season of the show describes a post-apocalyptic future which means that a civilization is brought to its end due to this mind washing technology. But with the start of second season, the centre shifts to the negative impacts of the mind wiping technology. Every character in the company starts to face their own moral guilt and ultimately realize that what they are doing is incorrect and causing damage to the world. Basically being a science fiction or thriller TV show it attracts a lot of viewers. Many people can watch dollhouse online. One can even browse internet to download free dollhouse episodes. As the show started, people got interested in it and thus the response became compelling after the episodes "Needs" and "A Spy in the House of Love". It shows us how the new invention and development in the terms of technology are depicted in an entertaining manner. Personally I like the show very much and love to it a lot.
