Treadmill is an electronic device which is used for exercising. Exercising with the help of treadmill has many positive advantages on the health of the user. The user of the treadmill is allowed to walk, run or jog on the belt of the machine which moves in a circular motion. Speed of the user can be maintained with the treadmill. Treadmill can be kept at home which will allow the user to exercise within the comfort of the house and exercise is not affected by bad weather or any other outdoor problem. Modern treadmill is available with many facilities like calculating the heart rate and speed of the person, these facilities will allow the user to even calculate the amount of calories burnt.

Advantages of watching television while exercising on treadmill

In the modern busy schedule any one hardly gets time to watch television with peace. Working out on treadmill while watching television will make the person exercising free of guilt that he has wasted time in watching television. The user will end up in exercising more while watching television. The user can use time by exercising on treadmill at the time of favorite television program. Exercising on treadmill does not require much concentration as it is very easy. The person will burn more calories as he will work out more while watching television. Exercising while watching television is like entertaining yourself while working out. Watching television at the time of favorite television program act as a motivation for the user to exercise regularly. This will help the user to stay healthy. He can also avoid the boredom of exercising and it is always good to exercise with interest, which will have positive effect on the health.

Disadvantages of watching television while exercising on treadmill

Although, exercising on television do not require much concentration but watching television while exercising will result in excessive workout which can be harmful to the health. There is possibility of injury, when the person exercises while watching television. Any work should be performed with concentration and distraction caused by television will obviously reduce the positive effect of the exercise.
